Description

A souvenir satin glass box from the popular Libbey Glass Pavilion at the World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago, 1893.  It's a rare and incredible piece that has survived for 130 years in good condition.  It's stamped on the bottom: Libbey Cut Glass, trademark, Toledo, Oh.

The melon-shaped covered box is decorated with hand painted daisies, and lettered with "World's Fair 1893".   No chips or cracks.  It's incredibly scarce, and a desirable item for a collection.
